Cambodia: Ranariddh Ousted as FUNCINPEC President
The Office of the FUNCINPEC Party spokesman is honored to inform national and international correspondents that the [FUNCINPEC] Party's Extraordinary Congress held at its headquarters on 18 October 2006 unanimously approved the amendment of the Party's statute and internal regulations as well as the rectification of its structure and logo as follows:
The FUNCINPEC Party Extraordinary Congress
1. Agrees that Samdech Krom Preath Norodom Ranariddh remains the Party's historic leader
2. Elects the following persons as leaders of the FUNCINPEC Party for a five-year term:
2.1. Comrade Kev Put-reaksmei, chairman of the FUNCINPEC Party.
2.2. Comrade Loe Laysreng, first vice chairman of the FUNCINPEC Party.
2.3. Comrade Prince Sisowath Sirirat, second vice chairman of the FUNCINPEC Party.
2.4. Comrade Nhoek Bun-chhai, secretary general [of FUNCINPEC Party]
3. Increases the number of the FUNCINPEC Party's National Council members to at least 600 by including members at the commune and precinct levels.
4. Increases the number of the FUNCINPEC Party Steering Committee members to at least 53.
5. Modifies the Party's logo and banner by retaining all features except for the picture of Samdech Krom Preath Norodom Ranariddh.
6. Decides to keep the FUNCINPEC Party Headquarters at the same site; that is, No. 11, Preah Monivong Boulevard, Srah Chark suburb, Don Penh ward, Phnom Penh.

Like father like son,the communist pinko Sihanouk and the womanizer Ranarith never go down quietly.The former was kicked out from power in the 70th by the REPUBLICANS ,and the latter by the Funcinpec.Both of these historc event were done legally and democratically despite claim otherwise . The former was so pissed he then joined the Khmer Rouge ,and as a result more than a million khmers people lost their lives . I hope and praise that Ranarih won't repeat the same mistake that his daddy made in the past. Now he wants to creat another party ....for what?restore the glory of your dynasty again? forget it.
As a cambodian ,i really want to remind Ranarith that it was your father's stupidity that make khmer's monachy lost the respect from the khmer peoples.
I am no fan of King Sihanouk, but please don't compare STUPID Ranarith with his much smarter father. This dude is REALY REALY STUPID!

You had your chance to lead FUNCINPEC,and you've failed it miserably .Now please let somebody else in charge of it.Don't create another party just because you want to revenge .Just remember divide never conquer it is rather the other way around.In my book you're one lousy leader, First you've betrayed your democratic alliance and went solo to joint the cpp. Where were you these days when your party need you? you were abroad most of the time. And now when your comrades sacked you , and you were stunt about that, comeon give me a break.Right now you make your followers like motodoup peoples,the pigs slaughters,and all the illiterated confuse.Please do not create this chaos.Just resign and fade away into the sunset.
By the way anonymous #3 Ranarith's dad is smarter as you can remember in the 70th ,his dad was able to convince hundreds of thousands if not more of others dads to join the KR and to be slaughtered at the hand of the KR. How can you top that?.
