When I heard a report from RFA today, I was agitated by the news that the Vietnamese Navy crossed Cambodian border and captured 6 Cambodian Sea Patrolers with handcup and bitting. The invaders had also confiscated all equipments and boads. The retaliation from Vietnamese Navy was to revenge the incident which a few weeks ago Cambodian Patrollers captured a number of illegal fishmen from Vietnam that fishing in Cambodian water.
In my opion, this kind of retaliation from Vietnames is despicable. Vietnames should treat Cambodian the same kind of treatment when Cambodian captured the Vietnamese, Cambodian provided a hospitable treatment.
Why is Vietnamese behave such a barbarict act toward Cambodian? Isn't Hun Sen the friend of Vietnamese? Isn't that Var Kim Hong,whose Hun Sen Border Committee President, has informed us as Cambodian that Vietnam alway gives us land? Va Kim Hong said that Vietnam has never taken land or fish from us.
Moreover, in the past, Var Kim Hong rejected any information regarding land invasion or border encroachment.
Therefore, Radio Free Asia and the provincial governor were wrong again. Furthermore, I am so sick of hearing Vietnames does this and does that to Cambodian but when ask Var Kim Hong, he says discreditable information.
Well, when talking about Var Kim Hong who he always tells us that Vietnamese are nice, for example, they helped Cambodian to become a Communist, they trained Khmer Rouge, they made Khmer Rouge killed the innocent Cambodian, they made Khmer Rouge killed Khmer Rouge and they invaded Cambodia easily to overthrew Khmer Rouge and they wanted to control Cambodia forever. (they weren't lucky because Soviet melted down and the international community pressured them to leave Cambodia). How helpful! Va kim Hong!
In addition, Va Kim Hong suggested that our previous rulers weren't acknowledgeable bout Cambodian Border.
So, according to Va Kim Hong, we should not make a sound as a victim.

I think what the government of Cambodia is doing, is just trying to please their boss in Hanoi. Because, any time we have a problem with the Vietnamese, our own leader seems not to care about it. If we have a true leader who will fight for our country and our people we would not have to suffer like nowadays. The government of Cambodia must stand up against the invasion from our neighbor, to have the courage to speak up. Even though we are not as strong as them, we must ask the United Nations for help in solving the border issues with the Vietnamese.
The leader of a country is supposed to lead and fight for our country, and not just lets the other country do whatever they want. We should have protested against their embassy in Phnom Penh and appeal for the help of the U.N.
Almost every time we have a border conflict with that country, our own leader seems to forget who he is. Maybe he is being pressured by
them not to speak about it. According to what I have learned is that, every couple months Vietnam will summon the leaders of Cambodia to go to their country to
learn how important it is for the two countries to love each other.
But what our leaders don't know is, they try to steal our land, and to bring more of their people over to Cambodia. I hope in the near future, our leader will realize about that, and do something that has not been done for over 20 years.

Very spetacular and provocative view. As an Asian-American, I have on many occassions been told that we should preserve the rooooooot!!!! of origin, feeling proud to be a asian who demontrated good successful accomplishment and living comfortably in the land of free, equality, and mutual respect of human being. We should embrace and reach out to help other asians who were unfortunated, ect... I love these words. I really do. But where were all the words gone when I was living in a neighboring country as a refugee. Well folks I can tell you this and pardon me if I a bit of out. I would love being an asian, but I really hate the most and at the top of my head to live permanently in asia (anywhere) because of a natural born to be disrespect,arrogant,rigidity, and homo-attitudes and personality among all of us toward the weaks and poors.
Very much thank to my adopted country that support and nurture me, provided me with good education and job. And quite importantly above all, the mutual understanding and respect from my other fellow americans. Now I can go any where I wanted because of the power of $ and US visa. It was quite differently when I was a refugee who got trash down and beaten up badly with many others fellow refugees by a group of soldiers of a neighboring country for a crime of escaping and entering their land when a refugee camp was under attacked by VN troops. You can guess which country I'm talking about.
So wake up orientals. Your human-living with dignity philosophy is several light years behind the westerners. Don't just focus on technological and economical mindset,but to truly live with each other with mutual respect and benefit. Don't just saying and noting on paper.

in my mine it is to late to get back kumpucher krome but we can still help out people by give them education make them have their owne dignity , the only vietnames interest is the cambodian sea the gulf of thailand becase it have oil and naterual resources if cambodian loose that one too the economic recovery of cambodian is slow (DONT WOORY SOON THOSE IN PARLIAMENT GET OLD AND DIE SOON )new cambodian generation including chines ,khmer ,cham ,other ethinic group will lead and can stant up for their owne country not including vietnames childrent in cambodia PEACE MAN
